State Sen. Jack Latvala will be the special guest at a fundraiser for Republican business executive Gary Price to support his bid for Senate District 23.
Price, who served a decade as Naples City Councilman, is seeking to succeed the term-limited Garrett Richter for the Republican-leaning seat covering southern and central Lee and northwestern Collier Counties.
The event is Monday, October 12 at The Club at Grandezza, an exclusive golf resort in Estero, starting at 11:30 a.m. with a $250-per-person private roundtable, and lunch following at noon. Tickets for the lunch reception only are $100.
Along with Latvala, the host committee includes a number of prominent local Republicans, including former Lee County Commissioner Ray Judah, Bonita Springs Mayor Ben Nelson, Naples City Council Member Doug Finlay and former Congressional candidate Chauncey Goss.
In May, Price told FloridaPolitics.com that he would leverage both his municipal government background and experience as a small businessperson to bring a “practical and public policy-minded” focus to the Senate.
So far, Price will face two sitting Southwest Florida lawmakers — state Reps. Matt Hudson and Kathleen Passidomo — in the increasingly contentious three-way GOP primary. Price’s impressive fundraising debut brought in $120,595 from May through September 1.
The Club at Grandezza is located at 11481 Grande Oak Boulevard in Estero. RSVPs with [email protected] or (239) 687-5821. Donations can be also made at www.PriceForFloridaSenate.com.
