Rick Scott makes North Florida appointments

Gov. Rick Scott on Monday made two appointments in North Florida.

First, Rick Watson will replace Pinki Jackel on the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners. Jackel was previously appointed the county’s Elections Supervisor. 

Watson, 68, of Saint George Island, owns and operates Richard Watson LLC and is a Realtor with Century 21 Collins Realty Inc., according to a press release.

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from Emory University.

Watson will serve the rest of Jackel’s term, Oct. 5 to Nov. 15, 2016.

Scott also reappointed Eugene Lamb Jr. to the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Trustees.

Lamb, 68, of Midway, served on the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners 2004-12 and now is on the Governor’s Commission on Healthcare and Hospital Funding.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Dillard University. He is reappointed for a term of Oct. 5 to May 31, 2018.
