Incumbent Republican Sens. Rob Bradley and Denise Grimsley each broke $20,000 in contributions last month and neither faces any opposition in their districts, though that could change depending on how the upcoming redistricting session shakes out.

Bradley’s $20,500 month included a dozen $1,000 checks, including checks from Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto’s committee, Protect Florida Families, and Senate President Andy Gardiner’s committee, Protect Our Liberty.

Expenditures totaled $1,785 for the month, with most of that money going to BHB Consulting. The final tally leaves the Fleming Island Republican with about $325,000 cash-on-hand for his campaign account. His committee, Working for Florida’s Families, took in $29,500 and spent $16,750 in September and currently sits with about $187,000 on-hand.

Grimsley did a little better, reporting $24,695 in donations against just under $6,000 in expenditures. Contributions included $1,000 from Bradley’s committee, alongside a pair of $1,000 checks from committees representing probate lawyers. Last month’s performance left her campaign with a healthy $166,000 in the bank.

The Sebring Republican’s committee, Saving Florida’s Heartland, had a down month, though. For the sixth month in a row, the committee’s expenses outstripped its income, this month to the tune of $9,000. Heading into October, the committee had just over $230,000 on-hand.
