Brody Enwright knows Florida politics about as well as anyone at his young age: It’s in his blood.
The University of Florida alum and legislative aide to Senate Majority Leader Bill Galvano grew up under the tutelage of Enwright Consulting proprietors – and Brody’s parents – Karla and Randy Enwright.
Not a bad bloodline to take on the road from Gainesville to Tallahassee.
Since the days of talking Charlie Crist vs. Tom Gallagher around the dinner table, however, Enwright has grown into the role of a Florida influencer in his own right.
Here’s Enwright in his own words.
I am … 23.
I live in … St. Petersburg.
I got into politics because … I grew up around politics and at first thought it was the last field I could see myself in. I decided to do an internship with Congressman Gus Bilirakis‘ office and realized I had a passion for politics.
One principle I always put above politics is … loyalty.
Person or people who gave me my first shot … Justin Hollis, Mac Stevenson, and Commissioner Adam Putnam.
I’ve already worked for/on … I’ve interned for Congressman Gus Bilirakis and Enwright Consulting. I have worked for Commissioner Adam Putnam’s re-election campaign as the director of field staff and as a legislative aide for Sen. Bill Galvano.
When I begin a project or first work on a campaign, I look for … the strongest team possible to work with.
I’ve been blessed to have these people as my mentors … Karla Enwright, Randy Enwright, Jim Rimes, Commissioner Adam Putnam, David Pate, Kathy Galea, Justin Hollis, Liz Hittos, Congressman Gus Bilirakis, and Sen. Bill Galvano.
The people I most admire in politics are … the spouses of those in politics
One lesson I’ve already learned is … Listen carefully and you might just learn something.
If I wasn’t working in politics, I’d be working in … I would love to own a brewery and a food truck
In 10 years, you’ll read about me … Only time will tell.
