U.S. Senator Jim Risch of Idaho became the third Republican senator this week to endorse Marco Rubio on Wednesday.

Risch says he’s been impressed with Rubio’s communication skills and understanding of serious issues while working together in the Senate.

His endorsement comes a day after Rubio received a similar voice of approval from Montana Senator Steve Daines. On Monday, Colorado’s Cory Gardner became the first of Rubio’s colleagues to back him in his quest for the GOP presidential nomination.
The 72-year-old Risch has served in the Senate since 2008, when he won the seat that had previously been held by Larry Craig.
