A Monday morning email from the Republican Congressional campaign of Adam Barringer, a two term mayor of New Smyrna Beach, contained two distinct pieces of good news.
The first one: Barringer’s qualification for the ballot by petition, which he attributed to his “conservative message and my local community ties” which spurred his “successful, grassroots effort” to secure the 2,300 petitions necessary to make him “the first Republican Congressional candidate in the entire State of Florida to qualify for the 2016 ballot via the petition process.”
The second piece of good news: endorsements from a group of ten Volusia County mayors, as well as a former New Smyrna Beach Police Chief.
Barringer has based his campaign around his local ties and connections, and these endorsements accentuate that message.
