The resource war in the three way House District 19 GOP primary is being won by Katherine Van Zant, who has raised more than Leslie Dougher and Bobby Payne combined through November.
Van Zant, the wife of the incumbent, raised almost $9,000 in November, giving her just north of $88,000 raised (against $22,284 spent).
Notable: Only $750 of what Van Zant raised in November came from her district.
Van Zant spent $88 in November.
Dougher, the former RPOF chairwoman, raised just $1,652.50 in November, spending $1,121. All told, Dougher has raised just south of $40,000 and has spent just over $9,000.
About $1,250 of Dougher’s November intake came from Fleming Island contributors.
Her November spend primarily went to Winning Concepts USA, listed as an Orange Park “political consultant” that seems primarily in the business of making T-shirts.
Meanwhile, the least well-known candidate in the race, Putnam County’s Bobby Payne, is still ahead of Dougher in fundraising despite a quiet November.
About $1,450 raised last month takes his total to $47,375; he has spent, meanwhile, just over $3,000.
Except for $500 from the Florida COW PAC, Payne’s money came from Palatka contributors, a base from which neither of the other two candidates have traction.
The one Democrat in the race, Hubert Snodgrass, raised $285 last month, and loaned his campaign $2,000.
Snodgrass now has almost $2,800 of capital for his effort.
