Fifth Republican enters HD 24 special election

running race

Danielle Avril Anderson is the latest Republican to enter the special election to replace state Rep. Travis Hutson. According to the Division of Elections, the Palm Coast Republican opened a campaign account for the House District 24 race, becoming the fifth Republican (with one Democrat) seeking the seat.

Hutson is vacating his House seat to run in Senate District 6, the race to replace Sen. John Thrasher, who left the Legislature to become Florida State University president, forcing the special election. District 24 includes Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia counties.

Both special primary elections will be Jan. 27; special general elections scheduled April 7.
