NJ Gov Christie Appears At Campaign Stop For Fl Gov Rick Scott

The political committee supporting Gov. Rick Scott raised more than $500,000 in December, bringing its 2015 fundraising numbers to more than $4 million.

Let’s Get to Work raised $518,150 in December, campaign finance records show. The December fundraising totals bring the organizations’ total haul to more than $50 million, much of which has supported Scott’s gubernatorial campaigns.

Scott cannot run for re-election in 2018 because of term limits.

Big checks at the end of 2015 included $25,000 from Verizon, The Vestor Cos. Inc., and Centene Management Company LLC.

The committee also received $20,000 from Resorts World Miami LLC. The company is part of The Genting Group, a Malaysia-based gaming company. Campaign finance records show Resorts World Miami gave the donation on Dec. 10, days after Scott signed a new $3 billion gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Let’s get to Work spent $104,114 in December. Big-ticket items in December included $26,288 for fundraising consulting and $15,959 for political and digital media consulting. Records show the committee’s total expenditures are about $48.9 million.
