The Carlos Lopez-Cantera U.S. Senate campaign will tell you it’s about the grassroots. Its Saturday release of fourth-quarter fundraising numbers went along with that theme.

The campaign raised $318,157 in Q4, 92 percent of it from Florida, in what Lopez-Cantera calls a “grassroots effort from the top down.”

Buttressed by strong support among Tallahassee lawmakers; the campaign notes that over half of the Republicans in the Legislature back CLC for Senate.

These endorsements are statewide, and the campaign expects to roll out more local and regional support going forward.
