On ABC’s “This Week” Donald Trump dismisses Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush

Donald Trump cast aspersions on Florida presidential candidates Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush during a lengthy interview Sunday leading off ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

When asked whether he thinks “Marco Rubio might sneak up the middle” during the Iowa caucuses Monday night, Trump said, “I sort of doubt it.”

“In Florida, I’m 48 and the sitting Senator is 11, and (Jeb) Bush is down in the basement,” he said bluntly.

Trump’s Florida support, as has been widely noted, has come at the expense of Bush, the moneyed establishment favorite, and Rubio, the choice of party regulars.

What’s clear is Trump still sees the pair in his rearview mirror.
