The Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) of Florida State University aren’t letting up in their opposition to Donald Trump.
The SDS chapter of FSU will hold a “Dump Trump” rally on the Tallahassee campus Tuesday (as with past events, the proceedings will take place at the school’s “free speech zone.”)
“The purpose of this rally is to awaken a large pool of students to the reality of modern-day politics, and to encourage them to make educated political choices,” emails SDS spokeswoman Regina Joseph.
“We are having this event because the head of the Florida Donald Trump campaign, Joe Gruters, chairs the FSU Board of Trustees Finance Committee. We are all against racist politicians and don’t want racists to run our school and our country.”
For his part, Gruters crowed Friday about the yyyuuuggee crowd of some 10,000 people who turned out to see Trump at another Florida school- USF in Tampa.
‘Florida is probably going to determine who our next president is going to be,” he said.
The state’s winner-take-all primary is set for March 15th.
