Hobby Lobby founder backs Marco Rubio for president

Marco Rubio

Donald Trump has criticized Marco Rubio for being a creature of lobbyists. Well, the mouthpiece of a certain “lobby” pledged his support to Florida’s junior senator Sunday.

Hobby Lobby founder and CEO David Green, an Oklahoma native, endorsed Rubio Sunday ahead of Super Tuesday.

Rubio “has impressed us with his preparation and the way he carries himself … exhibits humility and gives the glory to God.”

Conversely, Green writes, “I don’t see humility in Mr. Trump, and that scares me to death.”

Rubio has stacked up endorsements of late, but they haven’t translated into a poll bounce. It remains to be seen whether this has legs in Oklahoma in general, much less in the other Super Tuesday states with social conservatives.
