Aramis Ayala files to challenge Jeff Ashton for state attorney in 9th Circuit

Aramis Ayala

Orlando lawyer and law school professor Aramis Ayala has filed to challenge fellow Democrat Jeff Ashton for state attorney in the Orlando-based 9th Judicial Circuit.

Ayala, who is a former assistant state attorney in that office, said she is running because the office has a structurally cumbersome set up that makes it inefficient in “keeping the community safe and providing justice.”

The lawyer, who also was a public defender and in private practice, also has provided legal commentary to one of the Orlando TV stations, Fox-affiliate WOFL. In that role, she has been an occasional public critic of justice in Central Florida.

In a news release announcing her candidacy, she called Ashton “the failed Casey Anthony prosecutor,” referring to the infamous 2011 child murder case in which Anthony was acquitted. She also pointed out that he was identified last fall as someone who had accounts with the AshleyMadison.com website, a dating service specialized in arranging extramarital affairs.

“People from all over Florida are tired and embarrassed of politicians making a mockery of their position,” she stated. “The state attorney is one of the gatekeepers to our justice system. We need someone with integrity and a fresh vision to lead.”

Ashton’s campaign responded by welcoming her to the race, saying a public campaign would provide a chance for “us to show how far this office has come over the past three years”

“Running this office is no easy task. A technological makeover is underway with the help of local and state dollars that will make this office much more efficient” Ashton stated in a news release. “At the same time we have transformed the makeup of the office to better reflect the community as a whole. That was a promise I made in 2012 and one I’m proud to have worked so hard on.”

He also gave her a word of advice: She needs to move to Orange or Osceola County if she wins.

Ayala, a Seminole County resident, said she is now in the process of moving to Orange County.

Ayala holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida and a law degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003.

    Aramis Ayala,
I am Mrs. Celeste Dobbs, the mother of John Dobbs, I am asking for your help in this matter.

Re: John Dobbs; Florida DC (inmate no. C00618) Stand Your Ground, Color of Law
The incident occurred in Florida on October 25,2006 “Stand your Ground”,
4 against 1, defending him self with only his fist against 4 unknown men he pulled out his legal length pocket knife when his girlfriend tried to get them off him, they attacked her, what start out as a fist fight ended up with one of his attackers killed, the decease came from a wealthy family. John and his girlfriend were the only Black people in the altercation, his attackers were described as White John was the only one arrested, John complained of felling faint and dizzy, he was never taking to the hospital for his cuts and bruises but his attackers were taking to the hospital from the crime scene were their wounds were cared for.

The complaining witnesses were allowed to comment perjury in order to get a guilty verdict.

The states witness Allison Wright a crime scene investigator (she process the scene, collected the evidence, process the evidences, photograph and collect buccal swabs from suspects and things of that nature) worked for The Orange County Sheriff Office, her evidences proved John’s innocent. But it was ignored he was found guilty of all 12 charges, and given a life sentence and 35 years.

John spoke on the instructions given to the jury in his book located on his website americanmekinguniversal.org, Must Read Short Story “American Me Law vs. Law Enforcement” on page 60 “Magic Trick” to page 68 “Lose My Right.”

We are looking for equal protection of the law, my son believes that the only way to get that basic on the political inferences surrounding public support, we are looking for representation by a capable law firm that won’t be shaken, there’s been a lot of due proceed violations some significant.
