Florida House Speaker Steve Crisafulli Monday released his list of appropriation subcommittee chairs for the upcoming legislative session.  Although it was known that Rep. Richard Corcoran chairs the Appropriations Committee, there has been some other shuffling of positions among the Republican leadership of the House.

Rep. Ritch Workman will no longer chair the Finance & Tax Committee. Crisafulli named Workman the chair for the Rules, Calendar and Ethics Committee and designated Rep. Matt Gaetz to lead  the Finance & Tax Committee.

Rep. Jose Diaz assumes the chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee and Rep. Jeanette Nunez chairs the Governor Operations Appropriations Subcommittee. Miami Rep. Erik Fresen remains chair of the appropriations subcommittee for education.

Other committee chairs named Monday were Rep. Larry Metz for the justice appropriations subcommittee, Rep. Clay Ingram moves from government operations to the Transportation & Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee.

Rep. Marlene O’Toole remains head of the Education Committee; Rep. Charles McBurney assumes control of the Judiciary Committee. Rep. Dennis Baxley, who was judiciary chair, now leads the Local & Federal Affairs Committee and Rep. Matthew Caldwell was named chair of the State Affairs Committee.

Committee meetings for the 2015 Legislative Session will begin the week of Jan. 5.
