Republican Sen. Travis Hutson will hold a fundraiser for his re-election campaign May 17 at The Fiorentino Group offices in Jacksonville, his campaign announced Thursday.
The host committee for the event includes fellow Florida Sens. Rob Bradley and Aaron Bean as well as Jacksonville Jaguars lobbyist Paul Harden, attorney Marty Fiorentino and Acosta CEO Gary Chartrand, among others.
Festivities start at 5 pm at the Fiorentino office at 31 West Adams Street. For more information on the event or to attend, contact Melissa Langley ([email protected]) or Brianna Jordan ([email protected]).
Hutson has been representing Senate District 6 since he won a special election for the seat in early 2015. New district lines have placed him in District 7, made up of St. Johns, Flagler and part of Volusia counties.
The St. Augustine Republican is being challenged by Democrat Curtis Ceballos, the CEO of mobile app development company GabRY. Cebellos filed in mid-April and has yet to file his initial campaign finance report.
Through the end of March, Hutson had about $36,000 on hand in his campaign account.
