All five Republican candidates for U.S. Senate are scheduled to appear on the same stage for the first time during the statewide campaign.

The candidates are taking part Thursday in a forum billed as “Florida Future U.S. Senate” in Boca Raton.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, Rep. David Jolly, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, developer Carlos Beruff and defense contractor Todd Wilcox are set to attend. The event runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The GOP primary is Aug. 30.

America First President Margi Helschien says more than 300 people have signed up to attend. Helschien is a political consultant and former vice chair of the Palm Beach County Republican Party. America First is organizing the event.
