June’s fundraising reports make one thing clear in the race for state House District 69: Kathleen Peters is way out in front.
Peters, the Republican incumbent, raised $33,377 in June, giving her $180,883 in her campaign war chest. That’s about three and a half times more than Jennifer Webb, a Democrat making her first run for office. Webb raised $6,985 in June for a total of $51,690.
Webb has a fundraiser scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 12 at Chill Restaurant and Bar, 357 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach.
HD 69 is comprised of cities and unincorporated areas of southwest Pinellas and includes the many of the south Pinellas beach communities like St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island.
The election is Nov. 8.
