The AFL-CIO is blitzing Florida mailboxes with 33,618 mailers in support of Hillary Clinton while attacking Donald Trump for some of his anti-labor positions.
It is the union’s second mail drop in Florida and is part of national effort to target Florida and four other battleground states — Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — union officials said.
Oddly, the mailer points out one area of agreement between Trump and Clinton: they both oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership, although Clinton initially supported it.
The mailer gives kudos to Clinton for supporting the right to unionize, raise the minimum wage and the promise to “crack down on unfair trade practices.”
The mailer zings Trump for calling unions unnecessary, supporting “right-to-work” laws and for outsourcing his own products “to low-wage countries like Bangladesh.”
