The Republican National Committee gave the Florida GOP more than $170,000 in June.

Federal campaign records show the Republican National Committee transferred $170,580 to the Republican Party of Florida in June. The transfer marks the latest in a series meant to help gear up for the presidential election.

The state party has received about $1.3 million from the Republican National Committee since January 2015. The money was transferred to the state’s federal account, and can be used for mailers, get-out-the-vote efforts, and other campaign materials.

Florida is a key swing state this election cycle. A recent Quinnipiac poll showed Donald Trump led Hillary Clinton 42 percent to 39 percent in Florida. The poll marked a shift from a similar survey a month ago that had Clinton up by eight percentage points.

Republicans are set to nominate Trump formally this week during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
