Francis Rooney is making one last pitch to the voters.
The Naples Republican is airing his closing argument in his campaign for Florida’s 19th Congressional District. In the 30-second spot, Rooney makes the case for electing someone with “substantive real-world knowledge an an honest agenda of work for … the people of Southwest Florida.”
“Our country can still be great and I think I can make a difference, making decisions that will create jobs, increase wages, keep us secure and protect our Constitution,” he says in the advertisement. “I’m asking for your support and your vote.”
Rooney, a prominent Republican fundraiser, has poured nearly $3.2 million into the race. He’s been flooding the airwaves with advertisements since jumping into the race earlier this summer.
Rooney faces Chauncey Goss and Dan Bongino in the Aug. 30 primary. The district, a Republican stronghold, includes most of Lee County and coastal Collier County.
