Democratic House District 9 contender Loranne Ausley will post total contributions of $33,126 for the latest campaign finance reporting period.
Her report had not been posted online by Friday afternoon; a campaign assistant provided the figures upon request. The campaign had not yet calculated its expenditures.
Republican candidate and Tallahassee attorney Jim Messer reported monetary contributions of $3,250 and in-kind contributions of $16,419, with expenditures of $22,429, for the same reporting period of Sept. 17-30.
That leaves Messer with cumulative cash-on-hand of $92,063 with a month to go till the general election.
They seek to replace the term-limited Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda in the seat. Ausley, also an attorney, held the seat herself from 2000-08 until she was term-limited.
The district traditionally swings Democrat: It’s entirely within Leon County, where registered Democrats currently outnumber Republicans.
