Donald Trump rents Florida ground game, hires canvassers

Donald Trump may have a plan to make America great again. But in terms of ground game, his Florida operation realizes volunteers aren’t enough.

With that in mind, Florida Grassroots is hiring canvassers throughout the state in eight major markets: Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.

Pay ranges from $18 to $25 an hour. The physical demands of a full-time role, which include the ability to walk up to seven miles in a given day, may prove daunting for some of Trump’s more sedentary supporters.

Candidates for open positions must have “support for Republican values,” a smartphone with data coverage, “good communications skills” and the “ability to handle dynamic situations and conversations.”
