Duke Energy Florida is getting a new president — Harry Sideris, whose promotion takes effect Jan. 1.
Sideris has served as senior vice president for environmental, health, and safety since 2014. He will work from the company’s Florida headquarters in St. Petersburg.
He succeeds Alex Glenn, who will become senior vice president for state and federal regulatory legal support at corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Harry’s decades of diverse industry experience have prepared him well for this important role,” said Doug Esamann, who oversees operations in the Midwest and Florida.
“I look forward to my new role in Florida working with the employees, customers, and the community to continue building on our company’s legacy and commitment to the Sunshine State,” Sideris said.
Duke serves approximately 1.7 million customers in Florida.
