Pasco County Commissioner Mike Moore is holding a fundraiser for his re-election campaign Thursday and among those on the guest list are future Senate President Wilton Simpson and Republican state Rep. Danny Burgess.
The fish-fry event will be held at 35230 Abbot Charles Road, Dade City, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and those looking to attend can send an RSVP to [email protected] or call 813-777-6171.
Also getting a spot on Moore’s invitation for the fundraiser are Billy and Sandy Brown, Ronnie and Mary Deese as well as Dave Lambert.
Moore, a Wesley Chapel Republican, is the current chair of the Pasco County Commission and is running against Democrat Kelly Smith for re-election to the District 2 seat in 2018.
Outside of the commission Moore runs a small business and holds a seat on many state boards, including the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority and the Dependency Drug Treatment Court Planning Steering Committee.
Moore is also involved with community organizations including the Boys and Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity.
In recent weeks he has picked up endorsements for his re-election campaign including ones from Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, and Pasco County Clerk of the Court Paula O’Neil
