A programming, planning and execution tool for publishers and marketing experts is relocating its headquarters to St. Petersburg. The company is currently based in Connecticut.

The company plans to create 50 jobs in the city over the next five years.

“Everything that is happening with this innovative, data analytics company is a shining example of our Grow Smarter strategy working and working well,” said St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman.

The city’s Grow Smarter strategy is an initiative aimed at attracting new jobs in high-demand sectors like science and technology.

“This is a company that is doing well, investing in our community, and has a worldwide reach. I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome their expansion in our great city,” Kriseman said.

The company already has a presence in St. Pete using coworking space at an office on Central Avenue in downtown.

The company’s current roster of global clients includes CBS, News Corp, Entercom, The Economist an Zeta Global, among others.

“With our global headquarters expansion, we expect to hire 10 employees here by the end of 2019 and eventually grow our U.S. staff to a team of at least 50,” said William Lederer, Chairman and CEO of iSOCRATES. “We believe Tampa Bay — and St. Petersburg, in particular — is the perfect environment for our growing, innovative digital company.”

In coordination with its announcement Tuesday, iSOCRATES will also launch its Digital First Fridays, a meetup series in downtown St. Pete aimed at bringing together other professionals in the digital industry to collaborate, share ideas and network. Appropriate industries include data analytics, digital media and marketing and technology.

The first meetup is this Friday at Rising Tide on Central Avenue. Kriseman and Hillsborough County Commissioner Karen Seel will be featured speakers.

“We’re very pleased to welcome the iSOCRATES team to Pinellas County,” Seel said. “The digital media industry continues to grow in our community, and we’re working actively to facilitate this sector’s expansion.”

Digital and marketing heads from the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning will also speak at the company’s first meetup this week.
