After easily winning re-election, state Reps. David Santiago and Neil Combee both filed paperwork this week as the first steps to run again in 2016, according to the Florida Division of Elections.

With their victories in November, Republicans Santiago, from Deltona, and Combee, from Polk City, are now each two-term House members. Santiago took nearly 58 percent of the vote Volusia County’s House District 27, while Combee won re-election with almost 65 percent of the vote for House District 39, covering Polk and Osceola counties.

Filing campaign accounts permits candidates to begin fundraising for their campaigns.
