Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy has endorsed Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer‘s reelection, his campaign announced Monday.

Earlier Dyer had received the endorsements of Democratic U.S. Reps. Val Demings and Darren Soto, so his reelection campaign now has the backing of all three members of the U.S. House of Representatives who represent parts of the City Beautiful.

Murphy represents Florida’s 7th Congressional District, which covers much of northern, eastern, and central Orlando through downtown, though she makes her home in suburban Winter Park. She has been making her mark in Congress as a growing leader among the moderate Democrats, as co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition and is a part of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.

“Under Buddy Dyer’s leadership, Orlando has transformed into a world-class city that leads in inclusiveness, sustainability and job growth. I am proud to endorse Mayor Dyer and look forward to continuing to serve Central Floridians alongside him,” Murphy stated in a news release issued by Dyer’s campaign.

Dyer faces Orlando City Commissioner Sam Ings, Aretha Simons, and Shantele Bennett in the Nov. 5 election. All are Democrats, though the election and the office are officially nonpartisan.

Qualifying for the Nov. 5 municipal ballot opened Monday and runs through Friday.

Dyer is the City Beautiful’s longest-serving Mayor. He was first elected in a special election in 2003 and has been reelected four times since.

An Osceola County native, Buddy Dyer is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Florida College of Law. Prior to serving as Mayor, he served for a decade in the Florida Senate.
