Matt Gaetz to target Charlie Crist with ‘Stop the Madness’ pro-Trump rally in St. Pete

It's part of a massive campaign to shield the President from impeachment.

Congressman Matt Gaetz will be in downtown St. Petersburg on Monday to defend President Donald Trump and call on Pinellas County Democratic Congressman Charlie Crist and his party to drop impeachment proceedings against the President.

Gaetz is speaking on behalf of a new effort called “Stop the Madness” that aims to curb what supporters see as “extreme actions and politically motivated behavior” related to the impeachment process.

The Republican National Committee launched a website to go along with the new campaign aimed at protecting Trump. It’s in addition to a $2 million television and digital advertising blitz targeting more than 60 Democrats nationwide the Republican Party views as vulnerable.

The new website includes information on how supporters can sign up to volunteer and how to plan a counter-protest.

Gaetz will speak at Crist’s downtown St. Pete office at 696 First Ave. N. The event begins at 1 p.m.

The event comes as news coming out of Washington continues to pile up implicating the President in potentially impeachable offenses related to a July 25 phone call Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Democrats allege there was an obvious quid pro quo issued.

The White House had been withholding a $391 million aid package to Ukraine. In the call, Trump urged Zelensky to open an investigation into former President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

However, Trump and his Republican allies are defending the call saying there was no quid pro quo and, later, arguing the President is perfectly within his right to ask foreign governments to investigate corruption.

Trump’s claims about Biden and his son have been widely debunked.

More details seem to be arriving by the hour, including an overnight development that included text messages between officials and Kurt Volker, former special envoy to Ukraine, furthering Democratic contentions that Trump or other White House officials sought help investigating Trump’s political foe.

Gaetz’s event shows Republicans are still not caving to the onslaught of news, dismissed in Trump’s world as a “witch hunt,” a “coup” and even “bullsh*t.”

Trump is right.  He could shoot someone on 5th Ave, or in this case walk into Gaetz District Office with an AK and shoot everyone except Gaetz, and many Trump supporters, including Gaetz, are so stupid that they will continue to support him.   Just another of the many example of Matt embarrassing the panhandle and being a particular ugly example of white privilege.  Shame on Matt Gaetz!

The Socialist Propaganda media failed to mention that the Ukraine Ambassador Kurt Volker specifically stated that there would be NO Quid Pro Quo. Even the Ukraine didn’t know anything about such false activities… By Treaty, the Ukraine as well as China are to assist in investigation of corruption. It is Trump’s job as well as BARR & the DOJ to flush out & prosecute corruption. Since Biden isn’t an opponent of Trump but that of 20 other Democrats, how does the Socialist Media make this up for their Useful Idiots?

Yeah, “do me a favor” is the phrase commonly used when invoking the terms of an international treaty.

Buddy, you clearly haven’t read any of the transcripts and texts. Trump acted like Tony Soprono leaning on some little shop owner to pay insurance… Trump is going to be Impeached on this and a lot of other articles as time progresses.

This article is not investigative journalism or news journalism–those types of journalism are based on facts. Rather, it is the completely biased and partisan opinion of the author.

My detractors are right. I am completely and totally biased against Trump. I have been diagnosed as having Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), as has a very vocal, rabid, minority in the United States (so I’m not alone).

I am a biased political hack who believes the propaganda the mainstream media propagates to overthrow a duly elected president of the United States.

I support traitors in Congress who have rewritten their own rules to try AGAIN to illegally impeach Trump in violation of Article II of the U.S. Constitution.

I make untrue statements and hold them up as facts just like Adam Schiff, such as, “Trump’s claims about Biden and his son have been widely debunked.” Bwahahahaha! Love that one.

One of these days I will have to confront my TDS and start coming to grips with reality, but where’s the fun in that!?

P.S. – Matt Gaetz is cute. I plan on asking him to be my date to the Communists in America dance after we finish destroying the United States of America. He’ll have to accept to get a release from the Florida Reeducation Camp he’s in.
