The Hill’s annual “Top Lobbyists” list is out and two members of GrayRobinson’s Washington, D.C., practice made the list.
Earning the honors were Doyle Bartlett and Chris McCannell.
Bartlett is managing director of the firm’s Washington office where he leads the federal lobbying arm of GrayRobinson. Previously, he served for five years as chief of staff to former U.S. Rep. Bill McCollum, supporting the congressman’s work as vice chairman of the House Banking Committee and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee’s Crime Subcommittee.
McCannell is a senior government affairs consultant with more than two decades of experience as a federal lobbyist. He has earned recognition for his successful representation of Prudential Plc., Center for American Entrepreneurship, U.S. Travel, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association an Etihad Airways, among others.
The Hill’s recognition the two lobbyists indicates fast success at the federal level for GrayRobinson.
Though the firm is one of the largest and most lucrative in the Sunshine State, it wasn’t until early this year that it expanded its operation into the nation’s Capital.
The federal expansion came through the acquisition of Eris Group, a firm that was cofounded by Bartlett.
GrayRobinson, now under the leadership of President and CEO Dean Cannon, continued expanding throughout the year. Most recently, the firm announced it had brought on five attorneys from Miami-based firm Espinosa Martinez Law.
According to the most recent state level lobbying compensation reports, GrayRobinson earned an estimated $1.8 million during the third quarter of 2019, making it one of the six highest-earning firms in Florida.
