The League of Southeastern Credit Unions has brought on Ann Howard as its new director of communications.
Howard hit the ground running, with the hire being announced as part of an effort to help members of the media learn about the details of the Paycheck Protection Program and other federal coronavirus relief programs.
Howard joined LSCU last month. Before taking on the new role, she served as the communications director at the Florida Department of Transportation. She had previously worked as the press secretary for the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles and the communications director at the Florida Department of Corrections.
Outside of government, her resume also includes working as a TV producer at Silver Digital Media, as communications director for the Everybody is for 2 campaign, as chief operating officer for ESPMedia, and as an anchor for WCTV.
She is an alumna of Virginia Tech University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism.
