President Trump says Democrats’ convention was ‘gloomiest’ in history

Where Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden sees “American darkness,” Trump sees “American greatness.”

President Donald Trump said Friday that where Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden sees “American darkness,” he sees “American greatness.”

Anxious for his turn in the spotlight after the four-day Democratic National Convention, Trump is hitting his opponent hard.

“Over the last week, the Democrats held the darkest and angriest and gloomiest convention in American history,” Trump said in a speech to the GOP-aligned Council for National Policy in Arlington, Virginia. “They spent four straight days attacking America as racist, a horrible country that must be redeemed. ”

Trump in recent speeches has drawn his own stark images of unrest and violence in American cities and has positioned himself as a defender of law and order. Biden, in his nomination acceptance speech Thursday night, portrayed Trump as someone who tries to divide Americans. “United we can and will overcome this season of darkness in America,” Biden said.

Trump and the Democrats agreed on one thing. Just as the Democrats had repeatedly contended Thursday night, Trump declared, “The future of our country and indeed our civilization is at stake on Nov. 3.”

He chided the Democrats, saying their convention did not address the threat from China or bringing safety to Democratic-run cities. “Joe Biden grimly declared a season of American darkness,” Trump said.

Vice President Mike Pence, interviewed Friday, said the Republican National Convention next week will focus on what Trump has accomplished, including on the economy and with his coronavirus response.

Pence promised a heavy focus on GOP support for law and order and said the Democrats had failed to acknowledge violence plaguing some U.S. cities.

“We’re going to make sure that the American people see the choice here,” Pence said.

Both Trump and Pence have blamed outbreaks of violence on a radical left, which they have sought to associate with Biden and his running mate, California Sen. Kamala Harris.

Trump made clear after the death of George Floyd, a Black man in Minneapolis, and the protests that sprang up around the country calling for changes to policing that he sides with law enforcement.

Pence said Friday, “We don’t have to make a choice between supporting law enforcement and supporting our African American families. We have done both from the beginning of this administration. We’re going to continue to do both.”

Trump is one of the most defective men that God has ever produced. Mentally and morally, he’s an almost perfect example of everything we should all try NOT to be like. Why the hell would anybody listen to his view on ANYthing?

    He’s defective, demented, and degenerate!

“We’re going to make sure that the American people see the choice here,”

Um, we don’t have to look very far. The Psychopathic Lying Misogynistic Racist Fraudster Carny-Barker Con=Man vs. The Compassionate Empathetic Competent Proven Public Servant.

Hey Dem’s; can anyone speak about your platform? Sanctuary cities, rioting, looting, rampant gun violence, welfare for all, etc., etc…. No platform. What is the Biden doctrine? Nothing except to bash the once man to actually speak up for America.

You will all be crying like babies after the election.

Why aren’t we all crying like babies now?

A pandemic ravaging the country has taken 170,000 lives including 10,000 Floridians.
Our governor is a frog in Trump’s pocket.
Too many people have lost their jobs, may lose their homes and are in bread lines.
Our president worships the dictator of Russia, and until recently, the dictator of China and as always the dictators of Turkey and North Korea and has trashed our alliances and American power around the world.
Racial tensions are as high as the 60’s.
Our teachers and bus drivers and school workers are guinea pigs because of a tweet about opening the schools.
Food prices have skyrocketed at the grocery store.
Our fundamental way of life has been disrupted largely because of incompetent leadership.

And you want 4 more years of this?

A platform that focuses on making life better for all of us will be an improvement over your pal’s platform of fear.
