Jacqui Carmona moves to Rubin Turnbull, boosting its Miami-Dade presence

Rubin Turnbull & Associates, one of the leading Florida-based lobbying firms, is increasing its South Florida footprint with government affairs pro Jacqui Carmona.

Carmona, a Miami-Dade native, will serve as the government consultant lead for the Miami-Dade practice, working with Erica Chanti, who has been at Rubin Turnbull since 2017. Expansion plans include a new office in Coral Gables.

Before joining Rubin Turnbull, Carmona worked as political director for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees of Florida, among the state’s most politically effective unions with more than 100,000 members. Chanti, one of Florida Politics’ “30 Under 30” rising stars, previously served as executive director of the Miami-Dade legislative delegation.

Rubin Turnbull founder Bill Rubin praised Carmona’s addition as bringing “a wealth of knowledge, talent and work ethic.”

Sen. Shevrin Jones also joined in the accolades, calling Carmona a “fierce advocate.”

Carmona is an active member in the community, sitting on the board of IPREP Academy’s Educational Excellence School Advisory Council, and is a frequent volunteer with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Jewish Community Services Kosher Food Bank.

Chianti is a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
