Democrat Mike Reedy, who is a Realtor and organizer for Equality Florida, is preparing to announce. He has been involved in The Children’s Board, the City of Tampa’s Enterprise Zone Development Agency and the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors.
Democrats believe District 63 can be won back in the upcoming presidential cycle, when voter turnout is highest. In 2010, the seat was held by Harrison. In 2012, Democrat Mark Danish won in a close race. In 2014, Harrison took it back.
