More southern state polling shows Ron DeSantis as lead Donald Trump alternative
The Trump/DeSantis feud continues.

Republicans in Georgia, North Carolina like Florida's Governor.

Fresh polling from two southern states shows Gov. Ron DeSantis is still the leading alternative to former President Donald Trump for Republicans in 2024.

Spry Strategies posed questions about voter preferences in the next GOP Presidential Primary. The questions came as part of larger polling of 600 likely voters in the Georgia and North Carolina Primaries between Apr. 6 and Apr. 10.

Trump was still the preference when in the field, but without the former President, the Governor held pole position in both surveys.

In Georgia, Trump was the preference of 43% of voters when included in the question, with DeSantis still the choice of 20%. No other candidate was above mid-single digits. Both Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley had 6% support. Just 15% of voters were undecided.

With Trump out of the field, DeSantis commanded 39% support in Georgia. Cruz, at 9%, was the next closest candidate. A full 30% of respondents did not commit to a candidate in a field without Trump.

DeSantis has joked about Georgia’s upcoming election, saying there would be a “cold war” with the Peach State if Democrat Stacey Abrams were elected Governor. What’s clear is that Republicans in that state, many of whom enjoy content from North Florida media markets, like what they see from DeSantis.

Trump was king in North Carolina as well when included in the question, though he courted less than 50% support, just like in Georgia. The former President had 48% support, with DeSantis at 19%. Ambassador Haley was the third-place finisher, with just 8% support. Only 13% of voters were undecided.

With Trump out of the field, DeSantis consolidated much of his support. His 32% share was way ahead of Cruz, at 11%, and former Vice President Mike Pence, who commanded 9% support. A full 32% of respondents were undecided without Trump in play.

This is the second recent North Carolina poll to show this general dynamic. A survey of 600 likely voters conducted from April 1-3 by Cygnal and the John Locke Foundation showed Trump ahead of DeSantis in a crowded field, 45% to 26%.

Trump seems to be aware of the potential rivalry. He told the The Washington Post this month that his endorsement made DeSantis viable in 2018, and that he has “doubt” that DeSantis or any other major Republican would run against him if Trump runs for President again in 2024.

America’s Governor, is clearly the conservative and intellectual leader of the Repub. party.

Florida is the example and beacon of economic freedom, personal liberty and opportunity. Employment Jobs, lowest unemployment, leading personal wage increases, expanded public education scholarships lifting poor children, three times teacher educator pay, bonus increases, first responders bonuses two times, law enforcement supported and bonuses two times, number one in USA in Covid seniors inoculations, number one in Monoclonals remedy, Lake O., actuaries and waterways unlimited environmental protection, protecting life and unborn, protecting young children in school, school testing reform, school board term limits, and so much more.

Under any reasonable metric, America’s Governor has lead as example as a Governor making Florida the number one state in USA. Blue state tyrants have failed miserably. Con. Cuomo wrote a book on failure and tyrannical lies and made $5million off of death.

DeSantis is clearly the co leader in the Repub. GOP with the peeps. If ex Potus 45 does not run, Desantis clearly can get the nomination as passion, service and accomplishments are on his side with primary voters. There is no comparison with any other Repub., it would be wide open but DeSantis would dominate and be the favorite. Other Govs like Hogan, Sununu, Noem, would fall short. RINOS like Cheney, Kinzinger and Romney would fail as 5% losers.

America’s Gov commands the field, Tallahassee Gov mansion to DC, Oval Office very doable. The whiz kid boy Governor has met the challenges and conquered. Manchurian Dums blinded by hate refuse to acknowledge greatness in action, Your loss.

America’s Gov, do for USA as you have accomplished for Florida. The best!

Btw, big Dem ass kisser polling companies, Quinnipiac and CNBC have devastating news for Biden, Dems. Biden Dis Approval is abysmal. 30% or so, on individual issues he’s in mid 30’s.
    This is a disaster.

You are looking at a major train wreck.
40 to 60 House Seats, 6 to 8 Senate seats flip.
The AOC, squad Biden/Harris incompetence can’t be hidden. Enjoy!

If they’re so dominant as you say why does Ronnie have to rig the game? If you’re scared say you’re scared.

        Nothing rigged.

        You pud Manchurians are corrupt.
You ain’t getting away with zuckerbucks, unmanned private drop vote boxes. It’s over for the corrupt Tammany hall tactics.

        DeSantis will eviscerate the Dums.

You manchurians have a lot more to be concerned about. You are over a million behind on registrations, Rep to Dem. Biden is at 35% in Florida. It’s over. You have no state candidates.

Major blow out coming across the country led by Florida.

You’re correct Tom. Frightened, angry, mentally undisciplined voters will prevail. When the spouse of a Supreme Court justice is revealed to be a Qanon psycho, it is clear that the Founding Fathers aimed too high.

I am correct, because I am Legend!

Your dribble is meaningless fake moniker. America’s Governor is key to saving our country. May God Bless, protect him, recovering First Lady Casey, and children.

DeSantis offers hope, public conscience, accomplishment in governing, principles to govern by, achievement and legislative success.
It is pro active, positive agenda with a conservative accomplishment.

His record for all is breaking the Dums, he’s pulling in 20% plus of Dems. Independents are in the high 50% to low 60’s towards him, Hispanics plus 50% to Ron, my guesstimate is that 30% plus African American voters will join in. Biden is abysmal in Florida, 35% approval. Dems can’t recover. Repubs have a plus 100,000 registration advantage.

It’s a bottom up, one for all Florida, rising tide lifts all boats. Florida’s economy very sound. Unemployment is down from 3.5 to 3.2%, all jobs are recaptured before Covid. 8.7% increase in wages in Florida past 3 years, places Florida 3rd in wage growth. Keeping Florida working mattered. Schools, educators, police, first respondents have all benefited.

            America’s Gov leading the way,

            America’s Gov had been amazing!
No Gov can touch his example. If 45 does not run, he will and win GOP and WH. Have a little more respect for average GOP voter.

America’s Gov do for the USA, what you’ve done for Florida!

Never the substance with you and your Manchurian clan. Fake monikers have something to hide.

Spouses don’t lose their free speech rights. Govts officials don’t control spouses. What is your grievance now? She didn’t crash the party room.

No fear here. America’s Gov has a pro active and positive agenda. He’s going to do for America, what he’s done for Florida, a lot.

Qanon has a place at the table. Qanon is welcome under the big tent. Liars are placated and celebrated. Constitutional process is under threat and minions cheer. The Founding Fathers would weep.

Ok, you know what you are full of crap. You fake pathetic moniker!

If it’s not Trump, Its Jan 6, white supremacists ( how’s the recent New York killer) insurrection, democracy at stake if Dems don’t win, q anon, and any other talking point huff post crap. Save it, shove it, you are a hateful spewing crap head. You have no issues, no substance, no there, there.

You and your fake talking points manchurians are gojng to get ass kicked. Biden/Harris, AOC-squad, Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, have destroyed the economy. There is no comparison to past economy Jan 21.

Everyone knows, independents, Hispanics, seniors, even 1/3 African Americans are fleeing the Dums. You and your Manchurian fixation is like a new born on a mother’s nipple.

The Dums are the party of extremism period, full stop! When new 40 seat Repub majority tags over, every Dem will be investigated! It’s over for you all. Wait til June special election in Texas for border vacated Dem congressional district, its going to be a tidal wave, blue to red swing. Repub women will win. Winning issues Illegal Immigration, economy, and crime, all on the border. Biden’s abysmal in mid 30’s on economy, immigration and foreign policy!

Biden is at 35% in Florida approval, America’s Gov, Marco and Repubs up and down the ballot will win Florida, with 5 new Repub house seats for Congress from Florida for new GOP congressional majority.

        You all are mentally sick.

The nominal 45th president, the leader of the Republican Party, to whom the majority of Republican pols are subservient, is a persistent, dangerous liar. Have a nice day.

Oh yeah, all time whopper of lies.
Your idol Obummer, if you want to “keep your Health insurance, you can” or how about slick Willie, nbilly boy, “it depends what the meaning of is, is” please grow up.

Some Presidents lie more and some less, they all lie. Spare us. Except for Biden, he is just to incoherent to understand. His wife should be accompanying him
Everywhere. He needs to be led by hand off stage, can’t shake hands with thin air.

It’s pretty awful. What a con has been fed, just disgusting.
