David Santiago is set to hold a downtown Tallahassee fundraiser during the penultimate week of pre-session committee hearings next month.
Co-hosting at the swanky Florida Realtors Conference Room will be Speaker Steve Crisafulli, Pasco state Rep. Richard Corcoran and state Rep. Jose Oliva of Miami Lakes.
All three are among the heaviest hitters in the Legislature and will gather to support Santiago’s 2016 re-election to a third term in the Florida House. So far he has not drawn an opponent in his Volusia County-based District 27.
Santiago’s legislative work has mostly been focused on business and finance. He will serve as vice chair of House Government Operations and of Transportation & Ports during the 2015 & 2016 sessions.
The reception will take place on Wednesday February 11 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at 200 South Monroe Street, two blocks from the Capitol.
Under state law, the maximum contribution is $1,000 per candidate.
