Rick Scott argues Dems don’t ‘give a damn’ about inflation

Rick Scott
'Biden and the other so-called "leaders" in Washington right now haven’t got a clue.'

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott continues to grouse about the impacts of inflation, contending that the problem will persist until people who “give a damn” about price hikes are in charge again.

“The only way things will get better is if we stop the reckless government spending, balance the budget and put folks who have common sense and give a damn back in charge. Joe Biden and the other so-called ‘leaders’ in Washington right now haven’t got a clue and it’s time they put our country first and step aside,” Scott said, responding to the July Producer Price Index, which reflects a 9.8% year-over-year increase.

“Job creators” are particularly sensitive to the rise in prices, Scott contended.

“Job creators in Florida and across America are struggling. Prices aren’t dropping, hiring is harder than ever and now Democrats are pouring salt in the wounds of our businesses by raising taxes and greenlighting even more inflation-fueling spending. This is what happens when you have a president who has never run a business, an administration filled with lifelong bureaucrats and a Congress led by career politicians.”

Thursday’s statement followed up on a sharp Scott reaction to Wednesday’s Consumer Price Index numbers.

While the 8.5% year-over-year increase was down from June overall, price pressure continued for food, up 10.9% year over year, justifying another Scott slam of “radical socialist Democrats.”

“Washington is broken and backwards. While I have been demanding an end to reckless spending, Democrats in Washington have responded to a 40-year high in prices by greenlighting another nearly $1 TRILLION in deficit spending in just the last two weeks through the CHIPS Act and so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’. You can’t fight inflation with a nonstop spending spree, but that’s all we can expect from Joe Biden and the radical socialist Democrats here in Washington,” Scott asserted.

“Even as Biden drives the country into a recession, all the Democrats seem capable of is cutting Medicare, spending your money and raising your taxes. The Biden administration has made clear that it is waging a war on our seniors, a war on American families and a war on our economy. Until this incompetent president is out of office, Florida families will continue to suffer.”

President Biden is suggesting the worst is over, meanwhile.

“Today we received news that our economy had 0% inflation in the month of July,” he said at the White House this week. “Zero percent. Here’s what that means. While the price of some things went up last month, the price of other things went down by the same amount. The result, zero inflation last month.”

    MORE SCOTT POLITICAL HACKERY QUACKERY

When economists predicted that Trump’s trade tariffs eventually would increase costs …. paid for by American consumers….. Rick Scott said NOTHING! NOT A WORD OF CAUTION. Rick, Trump’s trade tariffs contributed to inflation. Higher fossil fuel prices increased with more travel after two years of pandemic. Why don’t Republicans ever tell the truth?

Yesterday economist announced that electronics had lowered 10% , Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Target, Bath & Body Works had all lowered prices, and gasoline prices have dropped every day for the past 55 days.

Inflation has dropped from a 9.4% year to year average to 8.4% in one month. Let’s hope the trend continues.
REMOVE ALL REPUBLICANS FROM CONGRESS AND FLORIDA. VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE.

Hard to believe that the Biden administration has caused high inflation not only in the USA but in most of the countries on this planet. Have to give Biden some credit if he caused this massive global inflation.

Would you have that same opinion of a Republican was in that White House? Of course not. You and the MSM would be jumping up and down over forty year high inflation.

I would welcome a true Republican in the White House, give me back George Bush Sr or junior, give me back Nixon, he only lied to Congress! But name me one leader of the Democrat opposing party that isn’t part of a cult, not a party, and will follow their anti-law, anti-law enforcement leader! Job growth solid, unemployment down, first time in two decades a bipartisan investment in infrastructure, even a Real GOP candidate would recognize these accomplishments are good for all Americans, not just cult followers!

Stupid remark again from Scott. If he spent time in DC, as our rep, he would know what the democratics are doing.

Whatever label the hysterical Scott tries to put on democrats, it does NOT change the facts of the past decades: Dems have handed great economies and surpluses off to Republicans who have left their buddies richer and the people up the creek, at every level. There is no world where Republicans have done better for the American economy. FACTS matter, and Scott’s hateful rants at CPAC with an authoritarian Hungarian president who calls for racial separation should render Scott ineligible to represent the state of Florida. He is an awful human who cannot represent ALL the citizens of his state.

When has Rick Scott ever introduced a bill to break up the private federal reserve or attempt to end their currency creation monopoly power?

Truly amazing a proclaimed conservative like Scott, makes claims about political parties and economics. Conservatives, as I studied, are about the ‘Free Market’, and no ‘Bog Government’, right? So how can a billionaire Senator who thinks Social Security and Medicare are ‘Big Government’ and wants to cut them hurting millions of veterans and Seniors, not know inflation in the ‘global’ economy has hurt more nations than ours, hurt more poor consumers in other Countries. Is the billionaire suggesting government should resolve the market issue of low supply and high demand?

Your quote not having a clue, is very funny. Paying off a hooker and denying you did so, denting you had sex with her a thousand times is having a clue? Leading militia terror groups, Proud Boys, Oath keepers into an attack on your OWN nations democracy, our Nation’s Capitol, and injuring and killing law enforcement is having a clue? Taking 500 classified ‘top secret’ documents, flushing some down the toilet, and using the others that are not shit stained is having a clue? Not speaking up to the violence against the FBI, after the DOJ asked for the documents, knew he had them and refused to give them back, then initiated a search warrant from a judge then finding them, but staying silent while the cult threatens and tries to kill the FBI, law enforcement is HAVING A CLU? Even our own Governor wouldn’t publicly denounce Nazi support! How clueless is that?

Funny how the current President vacations as those before 45, yet when 45 vacationed visiting Mar-A-Lago, a privately held business of the former President, the US Treasury, known as ‘US’ paid him $1.7 billion for 500 trips there, the same resort that was in the previous 5 bankruptcies, that we all paid for. Math is a bitch and probably the reason Florida bans ‘Math’ books!
