U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, a potential 2016 presidential hopeful, is kicking off a book tour in early primary states with a trip to Iowa on Feb. 13.
The Miami Republican says a final decision on a 2016 White House bid will happen in the coming weeks, going so far as to instruct his campaign team to prepare. He has has scheduled stops several early primary states: Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.
On Feb. 13, Rubio will be signing copies of “American Dreams,” which outlines several policy proposals, starting noon at the Barnes & Noble in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rubio, who has lately been critical of President Barack Obama’s push to normalize U.S.-Cuba relations, will also chair the first U.S. Senate committee to examine the new policy on Tuesday. The meeting will include testimony from officials of the Obama administration, as well as advocates for Cuban political and human rights.
