Joseph Ladapo says mask wearers ‘just like to hide their faces’

The state's leading doctor has a provocative theory about people still wearing masks.

Florida’s Surgeon General is continuing to evangelize against mask wearing like it’s 2022.

His latest theory?

People wearing protective coverings over their faces simply don’t want to be seen, said the state’s Chief Health Officer and doctor of medicine at the University of Florida.

Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said a doctor at the University of California Los Angeles talked to “some of her medical residents, physicians in training who are wearing masks and it turns out it seems like some people, they just like to hide their faces, which is a really sad testament to humanity and where we are right now with just how people have dealt with all the stress and all the social media disconnection and all the craziness.”

“But part of the reason seems to be that some people like to hide their faces,” Ladapo added on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show.

“Obviously, some people are still afraid and think that masks are going to help them, which is total nonsense. And that’s really sad. But there is this phenomenon now, it seems where people are trying to hide.”

Ladapo continued along this theme throughout the interview, noting that in California “people are still masking in hospitals” and that Uber drivers are “still masking.”

Ladapo was Gov. Ron DeSantis’ second Surgeon General, brought in to replace Scott Rivkees, who was deplatformed by the state of Florida (but still retained on the payroll), after Rivkees suggested in 2020 that people may need to socially distance for the foreseeable future.

      Good evening America,
Thank you Doctor Joe for pointing out those still Mask-Wearing folks are suffering from “The Stockholm Syndrom”.
Of course some are still thinking they are “Virtue Singnaling” and some just want everyone to know they are Biden voters.
But its really un-necessary as everyone at Publix saw you getting out of your Subaru SUV (the preference virtue signaling Leftist Club vehicle), and we noticed you bringing in those green reusable Publix bags.
Y’all could have left the mask at home as everyone knows you are a Benidict Arnold Traitor with Evil intent to vote 4 Biden.

But as a clairvoyant psychic you are correct about the reusable bags and I do like Subarus. I am a Winn Dixie shopper as you should have known from my constant complaints about the wealthy and nobody with a brain would pay what Publix wants for beer nor support an outfit whose heir helped fund the Jan 6 attack on our country.

I tink that was for Joe Ladapo. Earl’s use of “Dr” before Joe certainly confused the situation didn’t it. “Doctor” isn’t the D word that comes to mind for Joe Ladapo. “Dipstick” is the word.

People who don’t want their face to be seen is better worded as people who don’t want their fact be surveilled electronically, and sure there’s some folks in that camp, but folks wearing masks in the heat and humidity aren’t doing it for any reason except not to die.

Masks are effing miserable in the heat and humidity, even the lightest weight lightweight masks are too much own breath steam face in even just 5 minutes.

Here’s a better claim for Disptick Joe to make :

People who still wear masks like it was 2020 are pop smoking groomers that are coming from the abortion clinic to indoctrinate our trans drag queen children

Would it surprise anyone if Ladapo had been DeSantis’ “catcher” in college ball games?

Given Florida, Harvard should probably shut down. Whatever it used to be that was good, Harvard no longer seems to be that.

Probably the dumbest thing said by a doctor in history.

People with weakened immune systems, people who work in medical facilities, and people who care about others should wear masks and one benefit of the pandemic is that it has made it OK for those who need to.

When all you really care about is yourself I guess spewing germs along with anti-vaxxer propaganda goes with.

Nothing like those deathbed conversions by southern preachers who wanted the vaccine after telling others not to get it.

Experts — and the Cochrane Library — say this is an inaccurate representation of what the review found.

“Many commentators have claimed that a recently-updated Cochrane Review shows that ‘masks don’t work’, which is an inaccurate and misleading interpretation,” Dr. Karla Soares-Weiser, the editor-in-chief of the Cochrane Library, said in a March 10 statement.

“It would be accurate to say that the review examined whether interventions to promote mask wearing help to slow the spread of respiratory viruses, and that the results were inconclusive,” she continued. “Given the limitations in the primary evidence, the review is not able to address the question of whether mask-wearing itself reduces people’s risk of contracting or spreading respiratory viruses.”

Which is better, natural immunity or the vaccine?

That is very easy to test.

Both natural immunity and the vaccine help a lot in preventing an individual from contracting Covid

How do you know you had the vaccine? You made an appointment and you went and got jabbed. And then if you got Covid and it was mild-to-nothin’.

How do you know you had natural immunity? You did definitely get Covid and it was mild-to-nothin’ despite your not having been jabbed.

How do you know you didn’t have the vaccine? You did not make any vax appointment and you did not get jabbed.

How you do know you didn’t have natural immunity? You got Covid that resulted in spending weeks in the hospital and/or dying alone on a ventilator.

Due to the wild variation between measurable outcomes across the above paths of evaluation, the vaccine wins, hands down.

The vaccine is better than natural immunity because you can know you are vaccinated without having to get Covid.

You can only find out you had, and the key here is that’s past tense by the time of discovery, you had (and still do still have, going forward for a second and subsequent bout with Covid) natural immunity. The only way to find out is get Covid, and because it turned out to be mild-to-nothin’ for ya, you can presume (pretty safely and accurately, imho) that you had and have natural immunity.

IOW if you’re anti-vax but if you’re interested in car safety, do you go crash cars to find out which car is the one that injures you the least when crashed? If not, why not? Obviously cares are expensive, but what if you could do that for free? Would you? The only risk of loss is your own health, so why not test crash cars yourself before buying a car?

Years ago I worked with the Tokyo office and some people came to visit during the swine flu epidemic. They all wore masks the entire time and practiced safety protocols. People asked about it because they were not ill. They said, “we are wearing these primarily for others’ benefit. That is how it works in Japan. Think of others first and you are made better as well.” I never forgot it and wish more people here would recognize this great truth.

One person told me, for a culture that is so obsessed with how they look and smell, why do people not practice the most basic hygiene and considerate measures when it comes to not spreading diseases? Your people are always sick and missing work. In Japan that is considered a matter of shame. THAT was on point.

Dr. Ladapo is a smart man, and he’s a legitimate authority on viruses because he has a medical degree. He knows that, since viruses don’t exist, there’s no valid reason to wear a mask (nor to get any vaccine). Since he refuses to uphold the virus myth, they’ll get rid of him sooner or later, one way or another. He’s a whistleblower.

After losing 16 relatives and close friends in 18 months and almost dying myself, there is a reason to wear them. We have a neighbor who has been on dialysis for months from covid and still in a nursing home since contracting covid in January. This is not just any virus!

K, So sorry you have suffered so much loss and those you know. It’s sad people don’t understand until they are in your shoes. The same people who say it’s not ok to ask them to do anything safety wise are also the ones who want to shame and force people not to do the things they need to to survive or care for their loved ones, even when it doesn’t affect them and it’s none of their business.. At this point if I need to mask because I’m caring for my dying family member, it’s no more business of yours than what tennis shoes I wear. I have loved ones with permanent damage and those cases happened in later waves not 4 years ago. Nobody gets it until it happens to them. The only reason we are still arguing about it as a nation is because it’s been weaponized by politicians and all it does is tear people apart. Who cares. I think we’ve had enough of so called doctors turned politicians. It never goes well.

Remdesivir, not COVID, kills. The alleged COVID virus has never been isolated. Scientists can’t isolate the virus because it doesn’t exist. Same with HIV, which is treated with deadly AZT. Standardized medical treatment of the alleged virus-infected victims is what kills them. Dr. Fauci is reported to own patents on some of the virus medications, such as Remdesivir. That’s how he exploited his government job and the American people to become a multi-millionaire.

MAGAs will endure a slight inconvenience that produces a result of helping somebody else just as long as the MAGA gets the biggest, as perceived by them, the MAGAs, benefit for their efforts.

I can immediately think of three MAGAs who did something inconvenient to help someone else, a property owner they had never even met, but the thing they did was very fulfilling for their life’s hopes and dreams and that was the important part that got them off their couches.

Those guys are Travis McMichael, his father, Gregory McMichael, and their neighbor, William “Roddie” Bryan of Satilla Shores, a residential area of Brunswick GA. What they did to “help” the proprty owner they’d never even met was hop in their pick up trucks and chase down a jogging Ahmaud Arbery and murder him to death.

They claimed Mr Arbery was stealing from that property and they was just helping the property owner Never mind the total absence of any stolen property on or near Mr Arbery’s corpse.
