Should bank interest rates benefiting legal aid be more than other accounts? The Legislature is weighing in

    I’m glad this bill is getting coverage, but maybe address the arguments from both sides? This reads straight like the Banks for a Sustainable IOTA Program’s talking points. If a bank doesn’t want to pay the higher interest rates they don’t have to participate. Don’t go crying to the Legislature.

    Sidenote, it would also be fiscally irresponsible for legal aid to spend all of the money each year when they have to budget for cases that may take several years to close.
