The U.S. price of crude oil rose by slightly more than $3 last week, portending a jump at the pump.

Gas prices in Florida dropped 11 cents last week to $3 per gallon Sunday, the lowest daily average in about a month, according to AAA.

Sunday’s state average was 2 cents less than on March 24 and 59 cents cheaper than this time last year.

But things are likely to get pricier, AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins said in a statement, due to United States sanctions on an overseas producer seen as hostile to domestic interests.

“An 11-cent drop may not turn heads, but every little bit adds up for drivers navigating the road and their budgets,” Jenkins said.

“Unfortunately, the downward trend may not continue much longer. Oil prices moved higher last week after the U.S. imposed sanctions on Iranian oil.”

On Wednesday, the U.S. issued new sanctions targeting Iran’s oil exports, including a small, China-based oil refinery, as part of President Donald Trump’s efforts to increase pressure on Tehran.

The action came as the Trump administration has tried to reinitiate talks with Iran over its nuclear program.

“Any refinery, company, or broker that chooses to purchase Iranian oil or facilitate Iran’s oil trade places itself at serious risk,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in the statement, according to Reuters. “The United States is committed to disrupting all actors providing support to Iran’s oil supply chain, which the regime uses to support its terrorist proxies and partners.”

The U.S. price of crude oil rose by slightly more than $3 per gallon (5%) last week. Gasoline futures, meanwhile, increased 10 cents.

The cheapest metropolitan market for Florida motorists is the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach area, where gas costs $2.75 per gallon on average, followed by Pensacola ($2.78) and Panama City ($2.83).

The priciest place, meanwhile, is the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area, where a gallon costs $3.15 on average, followed by Gainesville ($3.09) and Ocala ($3.07).

Will the Demos put away their egg cartons and now have a gasoline pump as their new prop while jumping up and down with their TDS?

This comment from Foghorn Leghorn above is propaganda because:

      1.) Emotional labeling.
It uses terms like “Demos,” “TDS,” and props like “egg cartons” and “gas pumps” to insult instead of debate.

      2.) Deflection.
It avoids discussing the actual article about gas prices by shifting into a political attack.

      3.) Strawman argument.
It invents a cartoonish image of Democrats to mock instead of addressing real positions.

      4.) Tribalism reinforcement.
It tries to deepen “us vs them” thinking by painting one side as foolish and irrational.

      5.) Outrage baiting.
It’s designed purely to trigger emotions and anger rather than spark any real discussion.

This has been a public service announcement.

You do really suck at this, don’t you?

Fox news talking points. Outrage equals eyeballs equals advertising dollars equals more money for the Murdoch clan.
