Molly Curry ad hits Jacksonville airwaves

Signaling a new phase of the campaign just in time for the peak of One Spark and the #UniteJax rally on Monday, a new Lenny Curry television ad hit Jacksonville airwaves on Thursday, reiterating the Curry camp’s messaging on public safety. The spot features his wife Molly delivering the message that Lenny Curry is a “Mayor for all Jacksonville,” who would “make keeping our streets safe his No. 1 priority.”

“Like you, I want Jacksonville to be a safe place to live in and to raise a family,” Molly Curry says, adding that “as mayor, my husband will invest in neighborhood programs to give young people hope and opportunity.”

She has featured in one of her husband’s ads before, one that dropped during the holiday season.

In this ad, she said, “Lenny has always kept his promises and he will get the job done.”

It remains to be seen whether his opponent, Alvin Brown, will feature his wife Santhea in any of his ads. It also is almost certain that the Florida Democratic Party soon will have a response to the new Curry ad contesting some of the spot’s claims.
