Although several conservative political committee have already come out for Ron DeSantis in his bid for the U.S. Senate, now a super PAC is supporting him.

Service.Honor.Country. Action Fund (SHCAF) is a newly-minted group that can raise unlimited campaign cash, as well as independent payments on behalf of DeSantis, as he seeks Marco Rubio’s soon-to-be-open Senate seat.

The group is chaired by Republican consultant Dave Carney, whose clients included Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich.

“It is important that we replace Marco Rubio with a like-minded conservative who will continue to fight for limited government and a strong national defense,” Carney told Adam Smith of the Tampa Bay Times. “Ron’s background as a military prosecutor, advisor to U.S. Navy SEAL commander and Congressman position him to step in ready to lead on day one.

“As this will be a marquee U.S. Senate contest,” he added, “SHCAF will work to ensure that voters have a real choice next November.”

Carney believes the Washington Democratic establishment has “already lined up behind their chosen candidate.” That is why Service.Honor.Country. Action Fund was set up, to give DeSantis the necessary resources to support his conservative message against what will certainly be an “all-out assault from the left,” Carney said.
