Kimberly Daniels gets dirty feet on the campaign trail

Jacksonville City Councilwoman Kimberly Daniels is no stranger to controversy, but you can’t argue with her ability to spark discussion.

Case in point: Daniels has taken to posting pictures of her dirty feet on Facebook as she pounds the pavement in her run for re-election.

The word “Selah” is Hebrew and loosely translated, means “pause and think.”

Daniels is in a tight race with opponent Anna Brosche in a closely watched runoff for Jacksonville’s At Large Group 1 City Council seat. Brosche, a Republican, has expressed muted support for expanding the city’s human rights ordinance to cover LGBT’s, while Daniels, an evangelical African-American Democrat, remains staunchly opposed. The race is expected to draw crossover votes on both sides (depending on where voters stand on the HRO issue).
