Email insights: Join Marco Rubio for his big Vegas birthday bash

Who wants to get lucky in Vegas?

Marco Rubio turns 44 next week, but one supporter will get the best gift: an invite to Rubio’s Las Vegas birthday celebration.

A new email blast gives everyone a chance to win the Vegas trip and event, hosted by Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame – with a donation of $5 or more, of course.

The winner will get round-trip coach airfare to Vegas for the big birthday bash — which doubles as a GOP fundraiser — on May 28.

Rubio’s presidential campaign will set them up in a hotel on the Strip. Later, they will have the opportunity to meet Rubio, Harrison and his wife Deanna, who are hosting the event at their home with Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison, chairman of Rubio’s Nevada campaign.

The Florida senator has roots in Nevada, spending part of his childhood in Las Vegas. He is also a cousin of Nevada State Sen. Mo Denis, a Democrat.

He’s also one of several announced or potential presidential candidates to visit Nevada in May. Fellow Republicans Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, and Democrat Hillary Clinton each visited in the past month.

As for the context, there is little time to wait, since it ends on Sunday.  By law, no contribution or payment of any kind is required to enter or win the Rubio birthday promotion, nor does a contribution increase chances of winning.

But it sure wouldn’t hurt.

Ground transportation is not included, and must come out of pocket. But it would be a small price to pay to meet a big-time TV star – and possibly the next U.S. president.

SO ONCE AGAIN, FOR THE 15TH YEAR, FL Republican pols are ignoring the plight and pleas of the public majority. Women, who make up to 52% of the Florida population, have “their hair on fire”. Republican committee chairs
adamantly Refuse to hold a hearing on the bill to make sex discrimination a violation of the US Constitution!! It’s the harmless and noble Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution, needing only 3MORE STATE LEGISLATURES to vote Yes so it passes.

88% by independent random survey believe that women and girls should be guaranteed equal treatment with males of the human species. Most of us think that equal treatment of the sexes is assured somewhere.
    It is not.
And it will NOT be, ever, if left up to the Republicans in the Florida legislature.

All but 2 or 3 of Florida’s Republican legislators rally behind their sexist leaders, annually determined to keep females from experiencing full freedoms of sex-equal treatment…. and the nation from a potential jump of our economy’s Gross Domestic Product UP by NINE per cent, as in other nations!

    Why?
A couple answer that “ERA would ‘hurt’ business”. So, tell us, is freeing women’s skills, talents and quality of life only takes sway in America if Business is kept happy??

When we give our fall ERA talks before each county’s state legislators, the Republicans yawn (“This about women? I gotta’ go.” “I’m not interested.” )

Rubio said it: “ERA’s not important”!!
Wonder what his wife & daughters think.
    What do you women think?
