Florida’s Senate Majority leadership will be holding a July fundraiser featuring a performance at Cirque Su Soleil in Downtown Disney, Orlando.

As first reported by Matt Dixon in Political Fix Florida, the reception, which includes dinner and live “La Nouba” show, is on  July 9; dinner at Downtown Disney is 6 p.m., show begins at 9 p.m.

Hosting the event, which benefits Senate Majority 2016, are Senate President Andy Gardiner, Majority Leader Bill Galvano, and Sens. Lizbeth Benacquisto, Joe Negron and Jack Latvala.

Dixon writes that title comes from the French phrase faire la nouba, which roughly translates “to party, to live it up.” The Cirque Du Soleil website calls the show “where the mundane meets the marvelous … an unforgettable journey into a world at once threatening and exhilarating, frightening and familiar.” Much like politics.

RSVPs are with Sandy Taylor at (850)570-9363 or [email protected], Nicole Hagerty at (850) 508-2464 or [email protected]. La Nouba Theater is at Downtown Disney, 1478 Buena Vista Drive, Orlando.
