A review of public record emails indicates that some veteran hands are poised to brought into the Lenny Curry adminstration.

Charles Moreland, like Sam Mousa, is going to be brought onto Lenny Curry’s staff from the transition team in a significant role at $135K per annum. Moreland, a former Fire Department Chief and Director, was an integral part of the campaign and the transition, and he and Curry have a significant comfort level.

Bill Spann, a veteran communications professional, will serve as a Director of External Affairs. Spann is currently the Secretary of the Duval County Republican Party, and has decades of governmental communications experience. He is also a US Navy Veteran.

Latanya Peterson, the director of African-American engagement for the state GOP, is going to be brought aboard as the third Council aide.
