More than a few high-profile Tampa Bay Democrats will be joining Gwen Graham for a major fundraiser next week to help her re-election effort in Florida’s 2nd Congressional District.
The $250-per-person reception will be Tuesday, June 30, beginning 5:30 p.m. at the home of former Democratic state Sen. Pat Frank, who now serves as Hillsborough County Clerk, at 3108 Agawan Street in Tampa.
Event hosts include a power roster of the region’s leading Democrats, both current and former lawmakers as well as mayors of both sides of Tampa Bay.
According to Graham’s invite, co-chairs are Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn; St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman; state Reps. Janet Cruz, Dwight Dudley, Ed Narain and Amanda Murphy; Hillsborough County Property Appraiser Bob Henriquez, and state Sen. Arthenia Joyner.
The host committee also features former Gov. Charlie Crist; husband and wife team of former state Reps. Sam Bell and Betty Castor; Tampa City Council members Harry Cohen and Mike Suarez; the Florida Democratic Party’s Alan Clendenin; and former gubernatorial candidates Alex Sink and Jim Davis.
