The 29th annual Environmental Permitting Summer School begins Wednesday at the World Center Marriott in Orlando.
The Florida Chamber’s largest short course, it’s attended by about 800 lawyers, consultants, engineers, state and local government officials, developers, land owners, lobbyists and others with a strong interest in environmental permitting in Florida.
This year’s moderator is Keyna Cory, president of Public Affairs Consultants and executive director of the Florida Recycling Partnership. The keynote speaker on Wednesday is Department of Environment Protection Secretary Jon Steverson. On Thursday, the keynote speaker will be Col. Alan M. Dodd, commander and district engineer of the Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District.
The program features the Chamber’s unique “break-out” format that’s substantially revised and updated each year to afford the most advanced and current instruction available on Florida’s environmental and growth management laws, rules, and programs. Speakers include the “who’s who” of environmental issues including current and past agency personnel.
