In an email to constituents, Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is debuting a new interactive financial website for veterans called Serve, Save, Succeed.

Atwater says the site will give Florida’s military service members and veterans an online platform for collaborative discussion and creative thinking about money management.

“I know that financial success stories come in all sizes and by sharing with one another, we can learn valuable information about how to make smarter financial decisions,” CFO Atwater said. “I hope that our Serve, Save, Succeed community offers financial support that helps guide you and your family on a lifelong path of financial security.”

Users are encouraged to submit personal photos or videos about their financial challenges. In order to kick-start the website’s success, the department has uploaded a series of photos and videos from individuals across Florida, including a personal story from Army veteran Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Mike Ertel. In the video clip, Ertel touts the benefits of a support system for veterans leaving the military.

The site offers resources for issues such as unemployment, homelessness, health care and disability benefits.
